CTX-2266 | Wireless CarPlay dongle | Android Auto | Apple CarPlay for car radio

The CTX-2266 wireless CarPlay dongle is easy to connect wirelessly to any Android navigation car radio running Android 5.1 or newer. Thanks to the wireless technology, you no longer need a cable to use Apple CarPlay. The CTX-2266 dongle establishes a Bluetooth connection between your car radio and your phone. When you turn on your car radio, CarPlay is immediately activated and opened. Convenient and safe.

The Plug & Play system of the CarPlay dongle ensures ultimate ease of use, and all necessary software is included as standard. Thanks to this modern dongle, you can use the CarPlay function on your Apple smartphone via your car radio.

PLEASE NOTE: This USB dongle only works with Android car radios, not with factory-installed radios. Please check the version of your car radio first to determine if the dongle is suitable. If your car is equipped with the same car radio it was delivered with from the factory, this item is not suitable for it.

This item is also not suitable for JVC, Kenwood, Dynavin, Blaupunkt, or Pioneer car radios. These manufacturers have their own CarPlay solutions. Please inquire with the seller of your car radio regarding this.

Examples of suitable car radios:

Android Auto

With the CTX-2266 dongle, it is also possible to use Android Auto for Android smartphones. However, this does not work wirelessly. You will need to use a USB cable for this. The CTX-2266 features a USB input for this purpose.

Apple CarPlay dongle

Multimedia systems in new cars are increasingly equipped with Apple CarPlay. Generally, you connect your iPhone to the CarPlay system via a USB charging cable. With an Apple CarPlay dongle, your phone connects to your car radio. As soon as you pair your phone, CarPlay or Android Auto starts up automatically. From that moment on, you can easily navigate, make calls, listen to music, and send and receive messages via your car radio.

Do you only use Android Auto? Or would you prefer to use CarPlay wired? Then it is possible to use the cheaper CTX-2233 USB dongle.
