Driving to your destination is very simple with the Cartronix CTX-118915. If you choose online, you have a choice of apps such as Google Maps. With such applications, you can navigate offline and update maps free of charge.

Self-assembly and installation
Although this device is not an RNS factory radio, this head unit has been specially designed by Cartronix for various Volkswagen, Skoda, and Seat car models. It is the perfect replacement for the car radio installed as standard at the factory. Installing the Cartronix CTX-118915 is simple. For most users, it is a matter of plug-and-play.

If you have a Volkswagen, Seat, or Skoda built before 2011, extra steps are required during installation to prevent the radio from draining your battery. In that case, we advise you to consult an installation specialist or our installation partner Cartop Automotive; they can perform the installation professionally.

If you have a car built in 2011 or later, the installation is plug-and-play.

Extra cable required for cars from year 2014: CTX-3401
For cars from the year 2014 onwards, an extra cable is required for the installation of this head unit: the MIB plug. This plug is necessary to ensure compatibility with the car's original functions. The MIB plug ensures that the new head unit can communicate correctly with the vehicle's modern systems, including steering wheel controls and other integrated functions. Therefore, check when purchasing whether your car falls into this category and ensure you have the correct cable for a flawless installation.

Original accessories and options
If your car has a rearview camera originally supplied by the dealer, please note that it cannot be connected plug-and-play. To connect the camera, you need an adapter plug that connects the original camera to an RCA plug. If your car has a CD changer, you will no longer be able to use it after removing the original radio. It is therefore advisable to remove the CDs from the changer before removing the radio.
