Installing a rear-view camera in a Seat, Skoda, Volkswagen, Mercedes, or other car can often result in the reversing light not providing constant voltage or providing a voltage lower than 12 volts. This frequently occurs when the engine is running, which can cause the image to drop out, flicker, or become unclear. In such cases, this voltage filter must be placed between the reversing light cables and the rear-view camera. This prevents low voltage and ensures the video display remains stable.
Connection
Connecting the CTX-3409 voltage filter is a simple task. The red wire should be connected to the + of the reversing light and the black wire to the - of the same. The blue wire is then connected to the + of the rear-view camera.
Solution for:
- Flickering camera display on car radio or screen
- No image
- Image loss when the engine is running
- Wavy image display
