This extension cable for reversing cameras is intended for connecting a rearview camera to a car radio, navigation system, or monitor in the vehicle. This cable is also suitable for commercial vehicles, campers, and other long vehicles.

The detection wire at both ends of the cable is used to trigger the car radio, monitor, or navigation system. This wire allows a signal to be sent to a monitor, car radio, or navigation system, causing the image to switch on automatically when the car shifts into reverse. When a car radio is CAN bus controlled, the detection wire can provide power to the camera.
