The CARLINKIT TBOX-MINI Android 11 CarPlay Box is compatible with almost all vehicles featuring original CarPlay and/or Android Auto. This is a requirement for using the CARLINKIT TBOX-MINI. The CarPlay box is therefore activated via the USB port. It does not matter whether you have a USB-C or a standard USB port; both cables are included with the product.

Furthermore, it is important that the screen used by the CarPlay AI Box features a touchscreen. Only in this way can the effect of the CarPlay wireless box be maximized.

Many car models from 2016 and later come standard with wired options for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This means that the CARLINKIT TBOX-MINI can be used in 99% of cases for a car manufactured from 2016 onwards. In some cases, namely with Kia and Hyundai vehicles, CarPlay may already be available for models from 2015. You can, of course, always ask your car dealer whether your car comes or came with CarPlay or Android Auto.

Note: If your car does not have CarPlay functionality, this article does not apply to your vehicle. If your original screen does not have a touchscreen option, you can use the CARLINKIT TBOX-MINI, but you will not get the most out of it.
